Golf tournament raises almost $100,000 for The Island School Friday, 20 February 2015 12:57 The Island School of Boca Grande’s Second Annual $1,000,000 golf shootout was a great success, in spite of heavy rains and high winds preceding the event. Take a run this weekend at Boca Grande 5k Friday, 20 February 2015 12:55 Staff at the Boca Grande Community Center would like to ask all islanders to please share the road with the runners and walkers on Sunday morning February 22nd. The run starts at 7:30 a.m. in front of the Center on 1st  Street and goes past Whidden’s Marina, alongside the Inn on 5th Street, in front of the Inn on Palm Street, onto East Railroad and north past 18th Street, back to 5th Street, south via the bike path, on the west side of Gilchrist to the finish on Banyan Street.
