Jeannette Corneal Pratt, 79, died April 7 in Glen Cove, N.Y. She was a part-time resident of Boca Grande since the 1970s. She is the widow of Edmund T. Pratt Jr. who died in 2002.
She is survived by her sons Keith Pratt of Boca Grande and Brighton, Mich. and Randall Pratt of Manhassett, N.Y.

Betty Bodkin Farrior, of Tampa and Boca Grande, died suddenly Wednesday, March 24. She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Glenville, W. Va., to Raymond C. Bodkin and Eula Gerwig Bodkin.
Katherine E. Brown, 67, who was employed by Fugate’s for 15 years as a sales associate, died March 16 in Conroe, Texas. She formerly resided in Englewood.

Richard Clark, 89, civic leader, developer, and agricultural entrepreneur died March 13 in an accidental drowning at his home in Bartow. Richard called Boca Grande his second home, having spent about half his time for the past 25 years, where he kept his boat, fishing Charlotte Harbor and the surrounding areas.
Charles R. Burke, 87, died February 15. David Eyre Sherman, 92, of Hendersonville passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home Sunday morning, November 1, 2009. A native of Marshall, Mich., he was the son of the late Lee C. and Cecil Eyre Sherman.
Suzanne “Sussie” Eldridge McKean of Boca Grande and Castine, Maine passed away on February 1 after a valiant battle with cancer. Mrs. McKean was born in Harrisburg, Pa. on January 23, 1932.
George N. Sarris, 73, of Traverse City, Mich. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Venice Regional Medical Center from a heart attack. He was born of Greek immigrant parents.

Edward Lamar Sparkman, 88, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6 due to complications of pneumonia. Mr. Sparkman, a Tampa native, graduated from H.B. Plant High School and attended the University of Florida, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
James Edgar (Ed) Coey Sr., 86 of Rotonda, formerly of Boca Grande, died Monday, Dec. 29 at his residence. He resided in Boca Grande from 1989 to 2006. Born September 13, 1923 in Oakmont, Pa., he was the son of the late James E. and Henrietta (McGough) Coey.
Sally Bergman Robb passed away on December 26 at home in Boca Grande after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mrs. Robb was born in Cleveland on September 9, 1938.
Mary Corcoran “Corky” Subak, 79, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15 of cancer. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Park Avenue, Boca Grande. A reception in the Banyan Room at the Gasparilla Inn will follow.
