Steffan named clinic medical director

Dr. Michael Steffan was named as the new medical director of the Boca Grande Health Clinic at a reception on January 27, and outgoing director, Dr. Gordon Nidiffer, was honored as well.

Nidiffer accepted a resolution of gratitude from the boards of both the clinic and the Boca Grande Health Foundation for his years of dedicated service to the community.

John Sielert, the executive director of the clinic, said that Steffan took his position as the director on January 1.

“We’re very pleased that Dr. Steffan accepted the position,” he said. “Both doctors are providing leadership to the clinic as a team, and now Dr. Steffan assumed the lead role in that regard.”

Jim Agger, the clinic’s chairman, Dr. Dick Morrison, the former medical director, Dr. Hank Wright, another former medical director and Mike Dacey, the foundation’s chairman, presented both doctors at the reception.

Steffan joined the clinic staff in September of 2009.
