According to many within the Boca Buddies family, Jack was the main person who brought together this group of friends, which includes over 20 couples from 16 states. This group has always been inclusive, not exclusive, and each year they welcome new friends. Through the years they have bonded, and many have traveled across the country to celebrate weddings and birthdays. In 2011 some members of the group gathered in Princeton, Il. to honor Jack, who passed away several weeks after leaving Boca Grande.

Jack has always been our main organizer and cheerleader. Jack and his wife Nancy, who passed away several years ago, had been coming to Boca Grande for well over 20 years. How many of us have been friends for that long. - Ann Howard

We love you and miss you, Jack. You were one in a million. - From your northern Illinois buddy, Marcy, and from Karen.
