The woman, Kathy Guindon, talked with Justin for about 30 minutes foul-hooking tarpon, and he was asked to provide expert witness testimony on how tarpon feed. Read more...Wednesday, Feb. 6 is the date you won’t want to miss. Lemon Bay Conservancy is hosting its annual fundraiser, Toast to the Coast, at the Boca Bay Pass Club on Boca Grande. There will be fine food, music, an open bar and fabulous auction items including tickets to the Masters golf tournament, a trip to the Sonoma wine country, a jazz-themed New Orleans tour, and a “Top Gun” experience.

Read more...BY MARCY SHORTUSE - Magalie L., a resident of Haiti, used to live in a dilapidated hut with one of her daughters and two grandchildren. They had little to call their own, no income, no jobs. That was, at least, until the people of Boca Grande stepped forward to help those in her small village, and now Magalie is making money and her family lives in a decent house. Hers is just one of the stories of hope that have come from the two villages that Boca Grande residents have helped to create.
