Letter to the Editor: Thanks given to those who donated to Afghanistan troops

To the Editor,
We would like to thank everyone who participated in providing supplies and funding for sending Christmas boxes to our troops in Afghanistan. We shipped the packages last week and they should arrive in time for Christmas.  

A special thanks to the following for their generosity: Tom Murrian, Addy and Bob Melvin, Becky Paterson, Patsy Fyfe, The Seale Family, Inc., Mary Lou Heitz, Morton Olds and Maria Kukulski.  Also thanks to the nice lady who dropped off shampoos and soaps. I am sorry we didn’t get your name. Thanks to the children and staff of The Island School. Once again they wrote touching letters to the troops.
