The Gasparilla Inn & Club Soccer Field at 7th Street underwent a little surgery this week, as a fence was included to better serve the soccer players, and hounds, of Boca Grande. Jack Damioli, the president and general manager of the Inn, explained the renovation.

“Nothing has changed,” he said. “The only thing we’re doing is trying to improve the facility. The dogs can better roam around now, and the soccer balls won’t go into the Gulf. We think now it’s better designed to accommodate both soccer players and doggy people alike.”
