Garden Club celebrates the holidays and new members with champagne tea

The 2011 New Member Champagne Tea was held at the home of Nora Lea Reefe. More than 40 members were in attendance. Nora Lea introduced the board of directors, Standing Committees and the Ad Hoc Committees.

Each Leader of the Standing Committees and the Ad Hoc Committees introduced themselves and briefly explained what their responsibilities are.

New members introduced themselves and told a little about their background and where they hailed from. New and long-time members think this should be an annual event that reaches out to new members welcoming them into our Garden Club, and offers them opportunities to become involved in our many activities.

New member packets will be available at each meeting if you are a new member and couldn’t attend the tea.

A video presentation of the Garden Club’s May trip to the Chelsea Garden Flower show and the gardens of Kent and Surry will be held at the Boca Grande Community Center on the same day as the Christmas Luncheon, Dec. 7, at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium.View More images >>
