The convertible, which can be seen in front of the Clinic Annex on Park Avenue on most days, is the perfect size for zipping around the island. With the top down, you could enjoy the breeze and the Florida sunshine as you travel from home to the beach, or head downtown to grab a bite to eat or shop.
With an equipment package valued at $27,000, the 6-speed automatic comes with a pearl white exterior and sewn red and white leather upholstery, a Bose sound system set up for Sirius satellite radio, and an automatic climate control system. Measuring in at just under 6 feet in length, this four-seat cabrio is the perfect car to squeeze into that last parking space at high season or into a garage filled with paddleboards, kayaks, and fishing equipment during the summer.
So far, the Clinic Foundation has sold fewer than 100 of the tax-deductible $100 tickets. An upper limit of 700 tickets has been set, and the big push to publicize the drawing will begin in late January. The winning ticket will be selected on Thursday, April 12, at the 20th annual Hank Wright Auction at the Gasparilla Inn Beach Club, so even if you don’t make it in time to play Santa, we have New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, and plenty of birthdays and anniversaries before the big drawing.
Call the Clinic Foundation at 964-0099, email mail@bghcfoundation .com, or drop by for details or to purchase tickets. You don’t have to be present at the drawing in April to win, but who would want to miss the party?
