“Yellowstone: Preserving America’s Park for the Next Generation” is part of the Yellowstone Park Foundation’s celebration of 15 years of service to the national park.
Yellowstone National Park was established in 1872, and was the first national park in the world. The park, stretching from Wyoming into Montana and Idaho, is home to many species of plants and animals, some of which are endangered or threatened.
Yellowstone Park Foundation has helped to fund research into the flora and fauna of the Yellowstone Lake, built the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center and created the Ranger Heritage Initiative, which trains park rangers in the latest technology.
The presentation begins at 4 p.m., with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. Following the presentation there with be a question and answer session with Superintendent Wenk and Karen Bates Kress, President of YPF.
