Second chance to see ‘Pavarotti in China’

After a sold-out benefit showing of DeWitt Sage's brilliant documentary "Distant Harmony: Pavarotti's in China," the Johann Fust Community Library is offering a second showing at the Community Center auditorium at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 23.

The tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Library or at the auditorium door on March 23.

This film is a tribute to the new sound system in the auditorium and will guarantee a thrilling musical experience. It is a rare opportunity to see one of the world's greatest singers in an historical trip to China in 1986.

DeWitt Sage has captured the essence of Pavarotti, not only his magnificent voice , but also his warm and engaging personality.

He reaches out to Chinese students in a master class and even tries a role in the Peiking opera.

The film begins with the gift of roses on his arrival and ends with a concert in the Great Hall of the People.
