It is that time of the year again. If you plan to submit a space request to the Boca Grande Community Center for next season, now is the time.
Organizations who wish to be included in the 2012-2013 season (October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013) have until Monday, April 2 to make their request. This includes all space requests for the Woman’s Club room, the auditorium, the multi-purpose room, the special interest room and/or grounds.
Forms are available in the Lee County Parks & Recreation office, located within the Community Center. Please fill forms out completely and return them to Bob Green by Monday, April 2. Green said it is very beneficial to not finalize your event until you have received a confirmation. Confirmations will be sent out by Tuesday, May 1.
“As we have done in past years, we will continue to set-up (tables, chairs, audio and video equipment) and breakdown after your event,” said Green, the senior supervisor at the Boca Grande Community Center. “However, due to the increasing demands placed on the Lee County Parks and Recreation staff to facilitate these events, in addition to our regular duties, we will be unable to stay with your event from start to finish to make minor lighting and/or audio/video changes.”
