Letter to the Editor: Relay for Life – will you come out to help the fight?

To the Editor:

We are just one day away from our Relay for Life. A tremendous effort has been made by your community to help rid the world of Cancer. The teams have been raising money with fish fries, bake sales, e-mails and letters to the editor.

Please help us out, visit your favorite team, stop by my office, mail your donation or get involved. This terrible disease has affected every one of us dramatically. We have all lost loved ones, family and friends.

Every one of us has a horrible experience with this monster. It has taken someone from us!!!

The relay will be held Saturday, March 24 across from the tall lighthouse. It starts at 3:00 pm with a survivor lap and the teams will start serving food at 4:00. So come on out, walk a lap with a friend and a survivor. Eat some food, have a cold drink and make a donation.

You won’t regret it and you will help save lives.
