What takes only an hour out of your schedule and costs just $12 a ticket?
The Boca Grande Chorale concert on Saturday, March 31 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, that’s what. The Barbershoppers and Bocapella have melded their singing talent into one single song group with a new leader, John Pesare. The group sings with written music, and often accompanyment, and the playbill this year will feature songs such as, “Just one of those things,” “Over the Rainbow,” “Shenandoah,” “Dry Bones,” and many others. In all, 12 songs will be sung.
The group is a combination of Bass, Tenor, Alto and Soprano, which is a little different from Barbershop. Of course, the music is not in that style. So take an hour out of your busy schedule and join them on Saturday.
Tickets are available at the door but get there early.
Unlike years before, the group is having only one concert this year.
