New rector named at St. Andrew’s

Rev. Michelle Lyn Robertshaw

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church has announced it has called the Rev. Michelle Lyn Robertshaw as its new rector. She will replace retiring priests, the Rev. C. Read Heydt and the Rev. Cappy Warner.

The incoming priest is a Tampa native, and most recently has been the assistant rector at Holy Family Episcopal Church in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Rev. Robertshaw was unanimously selected by the Vestry and Search C ommittee from 40 applicants.

She is looking forward to joining the Boca Grande community and will assume her new role starting September 1.

St. Andrew’s was founded in 1908 and Rev. Robertshaw is its 18th rector.
