Sales tax holiday this weekend

BY LIZA STROUT - This weekend, August 3 through August 5, will be the annual sales tax holiday on clothing and school supplies.

Any clothing item, including footwear and many accessories, that are priced below $75 will be tax-free for the weekend.

School supplies, including backpacks, calculators and lunch boxes priced under $15 will be exempt from sales tax as well.

Stores on Gasparilla Island will be participating in the holiday, so if there is something you have been thinking about buying, this would be a good weekend to go shopping!
