In fulfilling its mission of providing entertaining and educational programs for members and the community, the club’s leadership team has engaged several local, national, and international speakers. They have also planned several day trips to well-known local gardens, in addition to an overnight trip to Epcot’s famed spring flower festival.
The annual Christmas luncheon and members’ garden tour will also feature special activities recognizing this milestone in the club’s history, as will a special anniversary celebration planned for February 13.
The year’s schedule will focus on combining horticulture, floral design and art. No one is better at bringing these interests together than the club’s kick-off speaker, Jane Godshalk, a member of the faculty at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, one of the country’s foremost botanical gardens.
