Second ‘Curious Incident’ showing scheduled

d4cdf3a4131b22f10d06366078226ecc.jpgBecause so many people were not yet in town for the first showing of National Theatre Live’s “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” the Friends of the Boca Grande Community Center organization has received special permission to rebroadcast the play on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.

The cost is $20 per person.

Mark Haddon's celebrated, multi-award-winning novel is adapted into a stage play for the first time in this performance.

Christopher, 15-years-old, stands beside Mrs Shears' dead dog, Wellington. It has been speared with a garden fork, it is seven minutes after midnight and Christopher is under suspicion.

He records each fact in his book to solve the mystery. He has an extraordinary brain, exceptional at maths but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life.

Christopher has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.

Call the Friends office at 964-0827 for more information.
