Bring forth the hounds the evening of December 14 and come to Dolphin Cove (a.k.a. Pink Pony). Festivities begin at dusk in the courtyard, when Yappy Hour commences.

This human-canine mingling was a big hit last year, and this year includes free dog treats, Yappy Hour shirts, complimentary wine, cat and dog merchandise, products from Woof Gang Bakery, jewelry crafted by Kelly (Reark) Borza and Suncoast Humane Society therapy dogs.

Call Dolphin Cove at 964-0109 for more information.

When’s the last time you rode through the streets of Boca Grande in a hay wagon? It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? Don’t miss the Christmas caroling and hayride event on Friday, Dec. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Lighthouse Methodist Church in Boca Grande. After the hayride’s conclusion, enjoy donuts and cider at the church.

Call 964-2479 for more information.

Don’t forget the Toys for Tots drive ends today, Friday, Dec. 14. Please make all donations today. If you have questions call Cathy Ehlert at (941) 456-4059.

The annual holiday food drive, sponsored by the Lighthouse Methodist Church, will wrap up on Saturday, Dec. 15. Collection barrels are at Gill’s Grocery, the Boca Grande Post Office, Grande Air Services, the Sea Oats office and at the church.

Hudson’s Grocery also has a monetary donation box.

Call the church, 964-2479, for more information.

On Sunday, Dec. 16 the Hudson’s Grocery Relay for Life team will be gift wrapping for donations in the park next to the store from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If at all possible, please bring your own boxes.
