Christmas services, festivities scheduled on the island

At the Lighthouse United Methodist Church the Christmas Eve service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Children should arrive by 5 p.m.

The candlelight service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

At the First Baptist Church of Boca Grande, Christmas Eve services will be held at 5 p.m.

At the Our Lady of Mercy Parish, the children’s Christmas Pageant will be held in the church courtyard at 4:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Vigil Mass will begin at 5 p.m., also on Christmas Eve. To finish the evening out, Mass at night on Christmas Eve will be held at 10 p.m.

On Christmas Day, Mass will be held at 9 and 10:30 a.m.

At St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Holy Eucharist with a child-friendly Liturgy will take place at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. At 10 p.m. a second Holy Eucharist service will be held.

On Christmas Day, services will be held at 9:30 a.m.

Christmas Eve at the Crowninshield House will begin at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Santa will be there with gifts for children birth through sixth grade.
