Gone fishin': Results from the January 5 youth fishing tournament

On Saturday, January 5th, the first Youth Fishing Tournament of the season got under way. Fifty-three competitors caught a total of 35 fish. View More images >>

Fisher Lach holds the trophy for Biggest Fish, in the 6 and under group; Alec Chrzanowski caught the biggest fish, 7 to 9 group. Hunter Pope, the youngest participant at age 1 1/2, won a rod and reel several times his size in the raffle. Mairead and Maeve Studdiford had a busy day, each caught several fish.

The Parent clan was amply represented – Anna and John Parent tied for most fish caught in the 7 to 9  age-group.

Christopher Lewis won a new tackle box in the raffle.
