That crumbling sea wall at the end of Belcher Road, near the Boca Bay Pass Club, may soon be fixed. A meeting about the specifics will be held on Monday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. in the Boca Grande Community Center auditorium. The public is encouraged to attend.

Funding to restore the wall has been procured through the Florida State Parks System and the Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association.

In May of last year the Florida Parks Service and the GICIA announced they would split the cost of the $18,000 engineering study, which was required to determine the condition of the seawall at the Boca Bay Pass Club. The Pass Club paid to have rip-rap placed along the wall to shore it up, in the meantime.
