Kids in Kandyland coming, get tickets for Abe Lincoln

“Kids in Kandyland” is the theme for the annual Boca Grande Child Care Center fundraiser this year. Every year a gala of extraordinary proportions is held to promote the Center, and it is one of the only ways, other than private donations and tuition fees, that the facility makes money. The cost per person is $150.

This year’s event will be held on Monday, March 18, at 6 p.m. at the Boca Grande Club. Cocktails will be served. Live auction items include a buffet called “Tropical Pool-side Fun,” an unusual piece of art called “Count Your Blessings,” exclusive use of a three-bedroom, three-bath Boca Grande condominium during part of the 2013-2014 season, tickets to the Indianapolis 500, an Italian cuisine experience for 12 and an evening with Abraham Lincoln.

Tickets to sit with President Lincoln, a.k.a. Gene Greissman, on Monday, April 8, can be purchased at this event, and after the event at the Friends of the Boca Grande Community Center office.
