Once again, Boca Grande finds itself on a list of top 10 places, this time as one of America’s best little beach towns as listed by CNN.
Travel and Leisure writer Tom Austin compiled the list, and called Boca Grande an “Edenic escape on the Gulf of Mexico … a real slice of Old Florida.”
Boca Grande is number three on the list, nestled between Lubec, Maine and legendary Chincoteague, Va., home of the wild ponies.
Austin recommends the Gasparilla Inn, or, during the summer when the Inn is closed, the Innlet.
This is far from the first time that the island has made it onto various publications for its beauty. From the top ten Florida beaches for shelling to a spread in Condé Nast extolling the unspoiled nature of the island, people from around the world are quietly discovering what we have long known: We are in paradise.View More images >>
