BY MARCY SHORTUSE - After all that has been said in the last few months about Gilchrist Avenue, Lee County employees are now trying to make up their own plan to bring to the residents of Gasparilla Island. According to representatives from Commissioner John Manning’s office, Randy Cerchie and the Lee County Public Works Department are now working on the project, to attempt to find some happy medium.

A $50,000 renovation has started on Boca Grande’s Town Park, one that will make a few changes to the landscape we know so well.

The movers were busy last Monday and the staff of the Lee County Reference Room and their volunteers have been unpacking all week for the expected reopening of the Johann Fust Community Library which is planned for Monday, June 10.
