BY SANDY JACOBS - We missed Italy again this summer.  If that’s not bad enough, we didn’t even get to New Jersey! Our Boca Grande house was undergoing a seven-week renovation, and my practical husband  wanted to stay close enough to check on the construction process. Hence, no Italy, no New Jersey, no nothing.

BY NORA LEA REEFE - Floral designer Jane Godshalk, from the famous Longwood Gardens faculty, delighted the members of the Boca Grande Garden Club on Wednesday, Nov. 7. Her presentation included holiday arrangements that combined many native plants, including vividly-colored roses, carnations, and hydrangeas. She also spoke about using candles and decorative items from nature and the art world.
