In honor of Halloween, the “normal” writers took a break to bring you this one-of-a-kind profile on one of our favorite All Soul’s Eve characters, Jack Skellington. This perspective was written by none other than Skellington himself, exclusively for the Boca Beacon. Jack and his wife, Sally, are now full-time Boca Grande residents after his 2011 retirement.
Over at the Banyan Tree Pilates & Yoga Studio on E. Railroad Avenue, the “Little Sprouts” class has been learning all about yoga. Above, the kids learned about stretching. At right, yogi Emma McGill in the swan position and at the bottom the group took a lesson from instructor Maggie Dill.
At The Island School, Boca Grande firefighters paid the kids a visit to discuss fire safety. Dafne Garcia was impressed to meet one of the guys in full gear. Park Service representative Thelma Proctor also came to the school to discuss our need for clean water.
