GIBA board calls a ‘do over’ on the swing bridge bidding process

 

Read more...BY LIZA STROUT - While there were many decisions made and votes taken at the Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority’s quarterly meeting on Friday, Nov. 2, the biggest was a vote to put aside the bids that were opened on Oct. 31. The new plan is to restart the process once the board has the completed engineering plans in hand, which should coincide with the timing of the bids being opened in March.

Second ‘Curious Incident’ showing scheduled

 

Read more...Because so many people were not yet in town for the first showing of National Theatre Live’s “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” the Friends of the Boca Grande Community Center organization has received special permission to rebroadcast the play on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
