Island kids clean-up, demonstrate for Earth Day

The Civil War in 3-D

 

Read more...On Monday, April 22 island residents filled the Boca Grande Community Center auditorium and donned some pretty funky glasses to view a presentation by Bob Zeller called “The Civil War in 3-D.” Zeller is the president of the Center for Civil War Photography, and is one of the country’s leading authorities on the imagery of the Civil War. It was part of Civil War Reflections week, sponsored by the Friends of the Boca Grande Community Center.

Key Agency, Wampler Insurance joins forces

 

Read more...Dave Dignam and Eric Fogo of Key Agency Insurance and Dave Wampler of Wampler Insurance and Financial Group have announced the affiliation of the two firms, effective May 1.

“We all continue to provide the quality insurance, and financial services our clients have come to expect. We are all pleased to welcome Dave, and add him to the Key Agency team,” explained Dignam.

“I’m excited about joining with Key Agency and feel we have a lot to offer the community,” Wampler said.

Letter to the Editor: GICIA endorses Inn plan for Gilchrist Avenue

The Board of the Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association, at its regular meeting on April 19, endorsed the plan developed by the Gasparilla Inn & Club for revitalizing the median strip on Gilchrist Avenue between 5th Street and 1st Street.
