Letter to the Editor: Island voter irate about polling place actions

To the Editor:

Shame on some residents of Boca Grande who voted on November 6. You, who stood in line to scan your ballot, violated an elderly woman’s right to vote in privacy by looking over her shoulder (even putting on your glasses) as she sat and completed her ballot.

Shame also on the man who brought a roll of toilet paper with President Obama’s picture on the sheets to the voting booth and those of you who thought it was so funny and took pictures.
I thought the residents of Boca Grande had more respect for our democratic process.
