Letter to the Editor: TIS thankful as well for island response

To the Editor,

The Tarpon Ball Committee wants to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who helped make the Tarpon Ball’s Good Old Days such a wonderful evening.

It is the The Island School’s annual fundraising event, and we are so pleased that it was such a success on all levels.

All this would not have been possible without the very generous underwriters for the evening, or the hands-on help of the parents, staff and friends.

We had wonderful contributions from individuals and local businesses for both the silent and live auctions.

It was fabulous to see it all come together with music, food and outfits that reflected a more innocent time. At the end of the day this effort and generosity will benefit The Island School’s mission of giving our children the best education possible.
