To the Editor:
The Englewood Community Care Clinic and Walgreens are partnering to provide up to 150 flu shots free of charge to Englewood area residents on Sept. 19, starting at 4 p.m. at the clinic site, 6868 San Casa Dr.
Flu shots will be administered on a first-come first-served basis and you do not need to be a clinic patient to take advantage of the offer.
We are excited to offer flu shots to the community and hope that this event will help to spread the word that the Englewood Community Care Clinic is remaining open to provide episodic medical care to area residents 18 to 64 years old who do not have health insurance.
The clinic will continue to be open on Monday and Thursday evenings at 5 p.m. despite the fact that the Charlotte County Health Department is closing its primary care clinic at the end of the month.Walgreens pharmacy staff will be administering the flu shots.
For more information, call the clinic at (941) 681-3765.
