Vernice A. Rodriguez

Vernice was born in Boca Grande on Oct. 31, 1938. She graduated from Boca Grande High School in 1955. She went to business school at the YWCA in Tampa and later worked for Sun Trust Bank and First National Bank.

Vernice loved her Lord, family and friends. She touched so many lives in her 73 – almost 74 – years, and her love is still living in all that knew her. She is now rejoicing with our Lord and Savior.

Vernice is preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond Rodriguez Sr.; her father, A.W Willis; her mother, Flora (Cunningham) Willis; her brother, Robert Willis; and her sister, Ruby (Willis) Scott.

Vernice is survived by: her sister, Linda (Willis) Clark; her daughter, Susan (Rice) Quick; her granddaughter, Heather (Quick) Dexter; and Travis Dexter; great-grandchildren, Alex Dexter, Elijah Dexter and Creighton Dexter.

As requested by Vernice, no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers and cards, Vernice asked for donations to be made in her name to BSA Hospice, 600 N. Tyler,  Amarillo, TX 79107.
