The antique dealer and community volunteer (at the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse and the Boca Grande Historical Society,) and his wife, Jean, have lived on Gasparilla Island for 17 years.

Kids' Needs program drop-off in Boca Grande, needs donations

This year Wells Fargo Bank, Rotonda, as part of its support of non-profits that work with children, has donated a 2012 limited edition legendary pony to Kids’ Needs of Greater Englewood. “Mack” is new, with original tags, and promises to become a collector’s item.

Fire department responds to injured boater off Novak Reef

BY MARCY SHORTUSE - On Thursday morning the Boca Grande Fire Department responded to a report of an injured man in a boat just off Novak Reef.
Novak Reef is approximately three miles west of the mouth of Little Gasparilla Pass in the Gulf of Mexico.
