BY MARCY SHORTUSE - The Barrier Island Parks Society has been working for a long, long time to acquire the Range Light on Gulf Boulevard. Since 1991, in fact. So when they were recently granted a permit to access the grounds and look at the extent of repair needed, they were elated.
The Island’s Ecumenical Blessing of the Animals will be held at The Gasparilla Inn & Club Croquet Court, right next to the Inn, on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m.
The Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce and “Think Out Loud” Productions with Sean and Brooks Paxton will hold a special viewing of their newest Boca Grande work.
Because so many people were not yet in town for the first showing of National Theatre Live’s “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” the Friends of the Boca Grande Community Center organization has received special permission to rebroadcast the play on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
