Cooper resigns from GIBA

BY LIZA STROUT - At an emergency meeting on April 19, it was announced that Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority Executive Director James Cooper had resigned on Wednesday, April 17. The resignation was effective immediately, citing "personal reasons."

Fourteen-year GIBA veteran and Accounting Manager Kathy Banson-Verrico was voted unanimously by the board to fill the post of interim director. See Friday's Beacon for more details.
