Read more...The Boca Grande Community Center held its 27th Annual Bike Path Parade last Saturday, March 17, and it turned out to be a patriotic event with more than 30 entries and a lot of spectators.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of The Island School, I am writing to clarify the position of both the School Board and the School’s Administration with regard to the recent controversy surrounding the future of children’s programming sponsored by the Friends of Boca Grande.

I just returned home from a fabulous afternoon of Beatles music. The Nowhere Band is a group of not only excellent singers and musicians but their representations of the Beatles, during all phases of their career, were perfect. The sets and costumes were as polished as any performance could be. It was delightful.
